My mom was diagnosed as a Type 1 diabetic when she was in her 50’s. That was almost 30 years ago. Until recently, she did not have a problem handling the insulin vial. However, one day as she reached for her vial, she knocked it over. The vial rolled off the table, onto the floor, and broke. A similar incident occurred about a year later. Unfortunately this time she was out of town and it was quite difficult to replace her insulin. It is for her and others like her that the Securitee Blanket was designed.
